Environmental education
Since 2016, as part of our Wild Ochota Academy initiative, Wild Grass has organised environmental education classes and workshops in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, as well as cultural centres.
The aim of the classes is to describe the main components and functions of the urban environment and to explain the significance of our everyday decisions and behaviour around things like household waste management and water usage.
Since 2019, Wild Grass has also promoted and undertaken urban nature preservation activities at the request of public entities. In less than a year, we have organised nearly fifty urban nature tours for Warsaw residents, set up a photo competition promoting the nature of the capital city, shot a popular science series about the life of trees in the city, and also realised an advertising spot and a photo exhibition promoting Warsaw parks. Our team writes and publishes environmental science brochures for children and adults.
